About us:
Window Treatments by Melissa is owned by me, Melissa, the
primary seamstress. As of January 2013 I am the sole worker here. Unfortunately, I had to let my seamstresses go. While I trained them and was confident in their talents and abilities, we worked in different locations and it became increasingly difficult to monitor the quality of each item going out. Until I can rectify this situation I will be the sole seamstress of Window Treatments by Melissa.
Here at Window Treatments by Melissa I enjoy a challenge. When
the shop started in August 2010 we had a limited selection of items: Roman
Shades, valances and standard curtain panels. Over the past year people have
sent pictures of their inspiration items and asked us if we would recreate the
treatments. Everything else in our shop other than the standard shade, the half
circle valance and standard flat panel curtain has been the result of a client
request a custom order and then us recreating it just by looking at the image! I enjoy and welcome those challenges. Please feel free to test my skills by
sending a picture of your inspiration piece to see if we can create it for you.
Serving my client and my client’s happiness is my utmost
concern. We work together with our clients to find the right treatments style
for their project and the right fabric. I take the time the client requires to
make the treatment they will be happy with.
My business has been extremely successful since it started. I like to give back as a way of expressing our appreciation for this tremendous blessing in having a successful
business. Each month I “host” or “sponsor” a family or individual in need by
